Handsfree Cell Phones
There is a 7-Eleven store across the main street, and most mornings on my way to school, I drop by there to get my coffee. The employees now know me, and I know them.
One particular morning, while I was pouring my coffee and so, one of the employees, who was a young nice girl, said, " thanks for sending me card on my birth day." I was standing next to her, and a guy the other side of the coffee bar. Apparently both of us wondered was going on as he spontanously said, "Is it your birthday?" while I thought, "Is she psychotic?"
Oh dear. guess what? She was talking on her handfree set cell phone!!!

the text in the cartoon:
"What's the frequency Kenneth Kenneth? tell me that %*^*^%* frequency."
"who are you talking to?"
"Nobody. I'm a schizophrenic. I spend all day blabbering unnecessarily into space."
"You must be terribly lonely"
"Not at all"
"blah blah blah ............."
"You saw this coming from down around the corner, didn't ya?"

a perfect hook
Many of us, people, have tried various diets to lose weight.
Some of us are not even over weight, but we want to look slimmer because the Cultural Parent says,"skinner the better." Perhaps we hope, by losing weight we feel confident and ok because we won't fall behind the human race!!!
Some others, are really over wieght and need to lose the extra weight to maintain an healthy life.
Some others, like me, have gained weight and their body's fat percentage is above the health line, so they need to burn those fat although they are not heavily over weight or obese...and so endlessly the list goes.
Well, here is a link which provides a great hook. Quite manipulating I thought.

Arranged Marriages vs. Love Matches
After reading the essay, “Arranging a Marriage in India,” I realized the importance culture plays in social affairs particularly in marriages.
In many countries in the world such as India, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey and more, arranged marriages are preferred. They believe if they marry a person who their parents have chosen, they will have a happier life than if they marry by falling in love.
Whilst for many Americans the idea of an arranged marriage is oppressive, for many Indians that’s the only path toward happiness.

Additionally, when I found out the custom, regardless education or status, was accepted and practiced widely in the society, I remembered my uncle who was a civil engineer and has been living in the U.S.A for at least 50 years. He and his wife wanted to find a wife for my brother. Living in a different culture than their original one, Iran, being educated, and other factors don’t change what they culturally believe is the right thing to do. As silly as it may seem, if my brother marries the person he loves, but his marriage fails for any reason, my uncle and his wife will blame the love match.
I, personally, dislike arranged marriages, but I do not disregard it either. So, I think people shall find what works the best for them; what they value, and act on their values.
